402,000 candidates will sweat in the KPSS: Here are the exam dates and details

The Public Personnel Selection Examination (KPSS) process will begin with the General Aptitude-General Culture session held by the Measurement, Selection and Placement Center on September 7th. According to the statement made by ÖSYM, the General Aptitude-General Culture session to be held on Sunday, September 7th will consist of 120 questions, and candidates will be given 130 minutes to answer them. Candidates will not be allowed into the buildings after 10:00 for the exam, which will start at 10:15. The exam will end at 12:25. The Field Knowledge exams will be held in three sessions on September 13th and 14th. The first session, which will start at 10:15 on Saturday, September 13th, will cover the fields of Public Administration, International Relations, Labor Economics, and Industrial Relations. The second session, which will start at 14:45 on September 13th, will cover the fields of Law, Economics, and Finance. The third session, in the fields of Business Administration, Accounting and Statistics, will start on Sunday, September 14 at 10:15.
ÖSYM President Prof. Dr. Bayram Ali Ersoy announced that the KPSS marathon will begin with the KPSS General Aptitude-General Culture session, to be held at 135 examination centers across all 81 provinces and Nicosia. Ersoy noted that 402,105 candidates applied for the General Aptitude-General Culture session, explaining that 223,757 of them were female and 178,348 were male. Ersoy also stated that 936 candidates with disabilities will participate in the exam, and that candidates with disabilities who qualify for an additional 30 minutes will be granted. He also noted that veterans, spouses and children of martyrs and veterans applying for the exam are exempt from the exam fee, and 2,330 candidates have taken advantage of this opportunity.
Ersoy noted that the exam will consist of 120 questions in total, 60 of which are General Aptitude and 60 are General Knowledge. He explained that the General Aptitude test includes verbal and numerical sections. The verbal section consists of questions aimed at assessing verbal reasoning skills, grammar, and spelling, while the numerical section includes questions aimed at assessing numerical and logical reasoning skills. He emphasized that the General Knowledge test will cover history, Turkish geography, basic civics, and general, cultural, and socioeconomic topics related to Turkey and the world.
The President of ÖSYM (Student Selection and Placement Center) announced that 54,168 officers will take part in the General Ability-General Culture session, which will be held in 17,041 halls across 1,040 buildings. He stated that comprehensive measures have been taken for exam security and organization, and that exam officers have received training on their areas of responsibility. He noted that constant contact will be maintained with exam coordinators in the regions where the exam will be administered, and that security measures will be implemented in cooperation with stakeholder institutions. Ersoy stated that 5,769 security officers will be on-site to ensure exam security. He also stated that coordination will continue uninterrupted during the exam. He announced that provincial and district population directorates will be open on exam day for candidates who do not have an identity card or whose ID card does not include an identification number or photograph. He wished success to all candidates taking the KPSS.
