Banks are pushing the limits with their promotional campaigns for retirees. All retirees, including those receiving widows' and orphans' pensions, can take advantage of promotional opportunities worth up to 30,000 lira over a three-year period. Some banks offer additional bonuses in addition to salary promotions, subject to various conditions. As a result, the number of banks paying 20,000 lira or more to retirees has risen to 12.
PROMOTIONAL AMOUNTS AND ADDITIONAL REWARDS
According to a report by Çığıl Ön Yener in Takvim Newspaper, banks determine promotional amounts based on salary brackets and increase these amounts with additional conditions. Promotions are made more attractive with features like automatic billing instructions, credit card spending, taking out a loan, or bringing a retired relative. Here are the current promotional packages offered by banks:
Albaraka Türk (up to 25,000 TL): Offering promotions ranging from 6,500 TL to 15,600 TL, depending on salary brackets. Additionally, there's an additional 1,400 TL for two automatic bill orders, 2,000 TL for credit card spending, and 1,000 TL per person for bringing a retired relative, totaling 9,400 TL.
DenizBank (up to 27,000 TL): Offers promotions ranging from 5,000 TL to 12,000 TL based on salary brackets. Those with a MobilDeniz overdraft account, automatic billing order, or credit card can receive an additional 8,000 TL in promotions and 7,000 TL back on credit card spending, depending on their salary.
Garanti BBVA (up to 25,000 TL): Offering promotions ranging from 6,250 TL to 15,000 TL based on salary brackets. 6,000 TL rewards are awarded for spending 2,000 TL with Bonus or Paracard, 2,000 TL rewards for spending 2,000 TL on a 2,000 TL advance account, and 2,000 TL rewards for new insurance policies, totaling up to 10,000 TL.
