Peace, Work, Yoga: Samara to Celebrate International Yoga Day on June 21

On June 21 at 16:00, the annual International Yoga Day will be held at the open area of the Samara in Motion project (stage II of the embankment, Pervomaysky descent).
For the eleventh time, Samara residents will gather together to take part in the global practice of awareness, balance and inner harmony.
The program will begin with a general yoga practice developed by the Ministry of Yoga and Ayurveda of India.
These are not just exercises, but a symbolic unity of all participants of the planet at the same time, in the same pose and with the same intention.
The practice will be accompanied by the sound of handpan performed by Lidiya Igolnikova, who knows how to turn metal into music, and music into meditation.
After the dynamic part, everyone will enjoy complete relaxation - a yoga nidra session from Evgenia Shumskaya accompanied by singing bowls.
It is a state in which the body is at rest and the mind is awake - as if you were lulled to sleep by the Universe and Buddha at the same time.
The event is also expected to feature distinguished guests: Anand Kamavisdar, Head of the Science and Technology Department of the Embassy of India in Moscow, and a representative of the Samara City District Administration.
All participants will receive small but pleasant gifts from the Embassy of India - yoga mats and branded Yoga Day T-shirts, although only until supplies last.
So, if you want to be not just a participant, but a stylish participant, come early.
Participation in the event is free.
However, if you plan to actually practice, and not just watch yourself in the reflection of the water, it is recommended to take with you a mat, water, a hat and, of course, clothes that are comfortable not only to sit in, but also to bend into poses.
Subscribe to "MK in Samara" in Telegram. We are holding a prize draw until June 24 inclusive. Hurry up to participate!
