Liga MX and Cruz Azul address the death of a fan after a match at the CU

Cruz Azul's 2-0 victory over Monterrey on Saturday night unfortunately took a back seat.
With goals from Jesús Orozco and Ángel Sepúlveda, the "Máquina" defeated the Rayados at the Estadio Olímpico Universitario in an early Liguilla match.
However, the sky-blue victory did not end as expected , due to the unfortunate situation that occurred after the match ended.
The General Directorate of Analysis, Protection and University Security (DGAPSU) of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) reported the following day that a fan died while being removed from one of the CU parking lots .
"As the crowd was being evacuated, a person, apparently intoxicated, verbally and physically assaulted the stadium's security personnel, violently impeding their work. The security personnel subdued the person and handed him over to the authorities. During the transfer, he fainted, so paramedics were immediately called in to provide the necessary medical attention. Despite efforts to revive him, he showed no vital signs," the DGAPSU posted on its social media.
He also reported that "four people are currently under investigation by the Public Prosecutor's Office" and that he will provide "all available evidence to clarify what happened."
