House arrest for DİSK members who participated in the March 19 protests

DİSK /Genel-İş executives and workplace representatives Serhan Demirtaş, Olcay Çalık, and Tolga Irmak, who were detained the day before for participating in protests targeting İmamoğlu on March 19 , were released under house arrest. The union members were brought to the İzmir Bayraklı Courthouse yesterday morning for questioning, and after being interrogated by the prosecutor, they were referred to court with a request for their arrest. The union members were placed under house arrest .
Union officials and workers held a statement in front of the Bayraklı Courthouse, protesting the unjust and unlawful detentions. Following the detention order, DİSK issued the following statement: "As DİSK/Genel-İş Union, we stand with our executives who were unlawfully detained. Our union will share information on this matter with you, the press, and the Izmir public."
Members of the DİSK General Workers' Party (DİSK) participated in a demonstration in support of İmamoğlu on March 21. One of the DİSK members summoned to testify yesterday was released, while the other three were detained.
