ASELSAN will 'Scare'! An important element for ÇELİKKUBBE

The Korkut Close Air Defense System, with its 25-millimeter smart ammunition, will be particularly effective against FPV drones and wired drones. (AA)
"AN ABILITY THAT CAN DESTROY FPV DRONES AND WIRED DRONES WITH ITS SMART AMMUNITION"
"We are striving to build Turkey's steel dome step by step," Akyol said, reminding that they delivered 47 elements of Turkey's Layered Air Defense System, the Steel Dome, on August 27, with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in attendance.Akyol, stating that the foundation of Europe's largest air defense facility was laid within this scope, noted the following: "We are striving to bring new capabilities to ÇELİKKUBBE. Here, we introduced our completed Korkut 100/25 product to the international arena for the first time. Especially during the Russia-Ukraine war and other tensions in the region, FPV drones, wired drones, and kamikaze drones have become a widespread threat. We are able to destroy these with the current Korkut (Korkut 100/35S). For smaller drones, there was a search for a more capable, faster-reacting, and more cost-effective product. Based on feedback we received from our own military, we launched the new product. (Korkut 100/25) It is more cost-effective, more agile, and especially capable of destroying FPV and wired drones with its smart ammunition."
It was noted that Korkut would be a new element in ÇELİKKUBBE. (AA)
"ASELSAN ENGINEERS DEVELOPED THE 25-MILLIMETER SMART AMMUNITION"
Akyol, noting that they found an artificial intelligence-supported fire control system at the heart of the Korkut 100/25, said, “ASELSAN engineers also developed the 25-millimeter smart ammunition. (Korkut 100/25) It is a system that breaks up into hundreds of pieces in the air, knows where it will explode in advance, locates its location with a laser, tracks it with radar, creates a cloud in front of it when fired after determining its location, and destroys the target. It can do this in a mobile, rubber-tired vehicle.” Akyol, particularly drawing attention to the prevalence of the drone threat, pointed out that the Korkut system has attracted the attention of users worldwide. Stating that they have added a new element to ÇELİKKUBBE, Akyol stated that in addition to the effort to produce more of ÇELİKKUBBE’s elements, efforts to diversify them with new elements will also continue.Akyol noted that Korkut's version, which uses 35-millimeter ammunition, has equivalents around the world, but the new version is unique, adding that Korkut 100/25 is equipped with advanced radars, optical systems designed by ASELSAN, and laser rangefinders that work for precise positioning.
