The authorities and people of Venezuela are ready to resist any attempts of aggression against the republic. Such a statement was made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the South American country Ivan Gil.
“We are ready to resist all attempts at aggression – aggression of a psychological nature, aggression in the media space, any kind of aggression,” said the head of the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry.
This was also the minister's response to the US maneuvers in the Caribbean Sea. Earlier, White House Press Secretary Carolyn Levitt said that US President Donald Trump is ready to use all elements of American force to combat drug trafficking, without ruling out a military operation in Venezuela. This statement was made against the backdrop of three US warships being sent to the shores of Venezuela.
Minister Gil stressed that the United States has been pressuring Venezuela since the early years of the Bolivarian Revolution. All of this is basically a psychological war against the Venezuelan people, but despite this, the country is moving forward.
