SonicBlast Festival returns today for 4 days of psychedelic rock on the beach

Today's 'warm-up' party is free to anyone with any type of festival ticket (pass or day ticket) and starts at 10pm with Overcrooks, continuing into the early hours with Daily Thompson, Nerve Agent, Castle Rat (who then headline the last day of the event) and the DJ set by The Heavy Brothers.

The festival in that municipality in the district of Viana do Castelo kicks off in full force on Thursday and, until the early hours of Saturday into Sunday, it will be possible to attend concerts by some of the biggest international names in psychedelic rock, in its heavier and lighter forms, with the occasional touch of metal or punk.

Thus, SonicBlast features highlights such as the Belgians Amenra, the North Americans Earthless, Circle Jerks, Emma Ruth Rundle and King Woman, the Swedish Witchcraft, by Magnus Pelander, among many others, such as the Italians Messa, the also North Americans Atomic Bitchwax or the Canadians Dopethrone.

Artists from Portugal will be on stage, such as MAQUINA., Capela Mortuária, Sunflowers, Bow and Overcrooks.

The festival includes free camping for ticket holders. Tickets include discounts on CP and Rede Expressos tickets.
