EU suspends adoption of retaliatory measures

The European Union (EU) announced this Tuesday the suspension of planned retaliatory measures against the United States, in response to the customs tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump.
The decision to take the necessary legal steps to suspend the application of EU countermeasures that were due to be adopted on Thursday comes after the conclusion of a trade agreement between the two powers at the end of July.
In recent months, the European Commission was preparing a list of US products that would be subject to additional tariffs if there was no progress in negotiations with Washington.
