KNVB attaches great importance to research into top sports culture
The KNVB attaches great value to Verinorm's research into the top sports culture in the Netherlands. "We thank the researchers for their thorough work," the football association states. "The KNVB will study the report carefully. A safe, inclusive and positive sports climate is essential to us. We take our responsibility by converting recommendations from the report into concrete actions. We support the management role that NOC*NSF takes on and work together with other associations in this."
The KNVB emphasizes that it has taken steps in recent years. For example, the association has introduced the Safe Social Climate label within professional football. The KNVB promotes pedagogical guidance, parental policy and training for positive coaching. There is a policy against transgressive behavior for youth trainers and there are reporting options at the Center for Safe Sports Netherlands. The KNVB wants to continue investing in a sports culture in which everyone feels safe, respected and welcome.
