United Airlines to Launch Its Own Debit Card

United Airlines announced Tuesday that it is launching its own debit card, which will allow customers to earn miles on purchases and account balances.
The new card, called MileagePlus Debit Rewards, will be powered by Galileo, SoFi’s tech platform, and in partnership with Visa. Galileo also powers the reward debit cards of Southwest Airlines and Wyndham.
Customers will earn one mile for each dollar spent on a United purchase and one mile per $2 spent on all other eligible purchases, which include retail, dining, and groceries. United is also offering 10,000 bonus miles to those who
skift.
