Galatasaray's Metehan Baltacı announced that he does not bet on the matches of the teams he plays for.

Galatasaray 's young player Metehan Baltacı, who was referred to the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) Professional Football Disciplinary Board (PFDK) as a precaution within the scope of the betting investigation, stated that he did not "bet" on any match of the team he played for.

Publishing a statement on his Instagram account, Metehan Baltacı used the following expressions:

I would like to inform the public correctly about my involvement in the disciplinary process initiated by the Turkish Football Federation. I have always strived to be present on the field through my hard work, determination, and struggle. I have always strived to act responsibly towards every club I've played for and its fans. Years ago, I made a betting transaction that failed to grasp the seriousness of the matter. I later terminated the transaction because I believed it was unbecoming of my athletic stance. I would like to emphasize that this transaction was not related to matches involving the teams I play for. I am an athlete who believes in the fairness of football and believe that this truth will be revealed as soon as possible. I am deeply saddened that my name has been brought up in such a matter. I would especially like to emphasize that I pledge before the entire football community to be more vigilant in every aspect of my life from now on.
