EuroLeague transfer ban for Monaco

The French club said in a statement that the ban, which "temporarily" restricts the team from registering new players or coaches for EuroLeague competitions, is purely procedural and not a sanction or final decision.

"The club wishes to emphasize that it has always fulfilled all requirements set by EuroLeague Basketball and other governing bodies with full transparency and good faith. AS Monaco Basket has maintained a sound financial position and has timely fulfilled all its obligations to all its corporate partners," the statement read.

The EuroLeague statement emphasized that the transfer ban imposed on Monaco was "related to overdue debts, failure to provide the necessary documents and lack of cooperation."
