First image of detained Zeydan Karalar

Adana Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Zeydan Karalar, who was detained in Gebze within the scope of the Aziz İhsan Aktaş investigation by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, was brought to Istanbul. After undergoing a health check at Bayrampaşa State Hospital, Karalar was taken to the police station.

Karalar responded to the press member's question, "Why were you detained?" as follows:

"You know why. They will silence the influential press, the influential politicians, whoever they can."
