Good news for the 74-year-old man who disappeared while hiking!

Retired accountant Hurşit Yıldırım went hiking in the Oluklacı Hill area of Eğirdir, Isparta, around 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 11th. Later that evening, he called a friend and told them that the summit was close and the view was beautiful. As the sky darkened, Yıldırım called his friend again, this time explaining that he had lost his bearings. A search and rescue operation was launched for Hurşit Yıldırım, who was never heard from since. The search continued today. A team of approximately 50 people, including AFAD (Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency), the Gendarmerie Search and Rescue (JAK), the Eğirdir District Gendarmerie Command, AFAD volunteers, ISAK (Israel Research and Rescue Center), and civilians, joined the search. Tracking dogs and a drone were also used in the search.

It was reported that efforts were underway to remove Yıldırım, who was reportedly having difficulty walking, from the region.
