A deputy who abused his wife will give a "Family Security" conference at an AKP-run municipality.

The AKP's Konya Metropolitan Municipality found AKP Founding Member and 22nd Term MP Halil Ürün, who was sentenced to 6 months in prison for violence against his wife, appropriate to speak at the conference titled "Family Security."

According to a report by Müslüm Evci from Sözcü newspaper, the Konya Metropolitan Municipality will hold the 12th Konya Book Days at the Selçuklu Congress Center between October 18-26.

Halil Ürün, a founding member of the AKP and a 22nd-term MP who was sentenced to six months in prison for "intentional injury" after beating his wife in 2006, will give a conference on Population and Family Security. The conference will take place on October 18 at 1:00 PM at the Miryekofolun Conference Hall.
