The quota allocated to the İYİ Party has been distributed: 3 new MPs will join the commission

Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey ( TBMM ), Numan Kurtulmuş, asked the İYİ Party, which did not participate in the National Solidarity, Brotherhood and Democracy Commission, which will discuss the laws to be enacted for the PKK 's disarmament process, to submit the name of one member each from the AKP, CHP and DEM Party.
Three seats were left vacant in the commission after the İYİ Party Group informed the Parliamentary Presidency of its decision not to participate in the commission.
Following the recalculation of the number of members to be assigned to the commission by political party groups, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Numan Kurtulmuş sent a letter to the Parliamentary Group Presidencies of the AKP, CHP and DEM Party, requesting that they submit one name each for the commission .
In the letter in question, the AKP, CHP and DEM Party were given until 17:00 today to submit the names of the MPs they would appoint.
NAMES CLEAREDThe candidates to be announced by the three parties have been finalized. The AKP has appointed Denizli MP and former AKP Deputy Group Chair Cahit Özkan as a member of the commission. The CHP has appointed Ankara MP Umut Akdoğan, and the DEM Party has appointed Istanbul MP Celal Fırat.
