Horror in Sultangazi: Son killed his mother and fled

In an incident in Sultangazi, a young man shot and killed his mother. An argument broke out for an as yet unknown reason between 20-year-old Azad K., who lives on the top floor of a five-story building on 1385th Street in the Yunus Emre neighborhood, and his mother, 45-year-old Çiğdem K. The argument quickly escalated, and Azad K. shot his mother, Çiğdem K., with a gun he had with him.

Police and paramedics were dispatched to the scene after bystanders reported hearing gunshots. Police took precautions around the building and the street. Paramedics entered the house and pronounced Çiğdem K. dead.

Following the completion of crime scene investigations, Çiğdem K.'s body was taken to the forensic morgue. Police have launched a comprehensive search to apprehend suspect Azad K., who fled the scene after killing his mother.
