Detention order issued for Antalya Police Chief İlker Arslan

Arslan's detention order was reportedly issued as part of a corruption and bribery investigation into the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality. Following the arrest of Muhittin Böcek on bribery charges last July while he was mayor of Antalya, the investigation revealed that First Class Police Chief İlker Arslan's name was also mentioned in the testimonies of a businessman and ET, who had won tenders from municipal subsidiaries. Arslan was alleged to have engaged in bribery and other self-serving relationships through businessman FA. It was also determined that FA had transferred money to Arslan and his family, and that his wife had previously been registered with the Social Security Institution (SGK) at companies owned by FA and received payments disguised as salaries.
İlker Arslan, who was suspended from duty by the General Directorate of Security, was found to be in Ankara. It was learned that the Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office issued a detention order for Arslan on charges of "intermediating in receiving a bribe," "aggravated fraud," and "acquiring unjust means." The prosecutor's office also reportedly issued a detention order for FA on charges of "intermediating in receiving a bribe" and "aggravated fraud."
HIS BROTHER EMERGED FROM HIS PERSONAL VEHICLE STOPPED IN NIGDE
On the other hand, it was learned that teams determined that İlker Arslan's personal vehicle was traveling at high speed on the Niğde highway and stopped it after a pursuit, and Arslan's brother, who got out of the vehicle, was detained for favoring a criminal.
