Great success from a Turkish scientist: The method he discovered was accepted by the international medical community!

The method developed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kutluana, using a device he designed, was published as an original work in the European Journal of Gastroenterology & Hepatology, one of the world's respected journals in the field of gastroenterology.
"AS A TURKISH PHYSICIAN..."Regarding the new method he developed, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ufuk Kutluana stated the following: "Most colon cancers develop from colon polyps. Therefore, endoscopic diagnosis and treatment of colon polyps or early-stage colon cancers is very important.
Non-surgical endoscopic ESD and EMR are the most advanced treatment methods in this area today. Until now, we've been following innovations from Asia and Europe because they're leading the way in this area. As a Turkish physician, I wanted to contribute to the process.
A WORLD FIRSTI have developed, for the first time in the world, this treatment method, which I call EWBR (endoscopic wide band resection), which allows us to remove colon polyps not exceeding 2.5 cm, en bloc (in one piece), with safe surgical margins, in selected individuals with bleeding tendency and comorbidities.
The method requires mounting a device I designed onto a colonoscopy machine. This new method is effective for lesions too large to be removed with traditional EMR and is much quicker than ESD. Furthermore, it minimizes complications such as bleeding and perforation compared to the other two methods.
"The study I compiled on the patients I treated with this method quickly received approval and was published in a respected international medical journal. I am very happy and proud to have brought such an innovation to global medicine," he said.
