Summer school training has begun

The DYK and summer school trainings organized by the Ministry of National Education in 81 provinces have started. Teachers and students can attend the trainings, which will last from July 1 to August 31, in schools in their settlements. In addition to basic education, courses in sports, visual arts, music and informatics were opened in the summer schools with an approach based on multi-faceted development in terms of mental, social, emotional, physical and moral aspects. Students can repeat the curriculums they have completed in these courses or choose the curriculums of the next grade level.
'WE HAVE STUDENTS COMING FROM 3 DIFFERENT PROVINCES'EDYK and summer school education has also started at Etimesgut Özkent Akbilek Science High School in Ankara. School Principal Mehmet Mustafa Genç stated that they prepare students for the future both socially and academically, and said, "Our DYK summer courses cover a period between July 1 and August 31. Our students continue their preparations with physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, Turkish language and literature courses in these courses. In addition to our school students, students from outside districts and cities who need them also apply to these courses and participate. We currently have students from 3 different cities in our class. This is an example of the good work done by our Ministry of National Education; our students provide access to information in every field and in every way."

Genç said that in addition to academic studies with students who want, visual arts, sports and music are also studied and said, "There are courses for these as well. These courses are also opened for students who want them through our teachers who want them. Our and our Ministry's goal is to activate the student's right and left lobes and make learning permanent. This makes our students successful. When the education starts after the summer term, our Ministry's courses continue in the first and second terms of the education. In addition to their 8-hour lessons a day, our students can also attend physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics and literature courses in our school for 2 hours each after the school is dismissed, again with their personal applications. This continues throughout the academic year. This also creates a good opportunity for our students during the preparation phase for the YKS by the Ministry."
'I FIND THE COURSES EXTREMELY USEFUL'Mert Şeker (16), a student at Etimesgut Özkent Akbilek Science High School, stated that he made good use of his summer vacation in these courses and said, "Apart from that, this is now exam preparation for us. We come in the morning and actually do the same as normal lessons. But since it is summer, I think it is a bit more beneficial. After all, people have a bit more peace of mind during the vacation. That is why I think I understand better. That is why I find these courses extremely useful."
