The incident occurred in the evening hours on 11th Değirmen Street in the Osmangazi district. According to the allegations, a person whose identity has not yet been disclosed and who is alleged to have been drunk verbally intervened with the police teams on duty in the area for an unknown reason. The suspect, who did not heed the warnings and advanced on the police officers, was neutralized by the police by being shot in the leg. Health teams were dispatched to the scene upon the report. The injured person was taken to the hospital after receiving first aid and received treatment.

The incident was captured on a nearby citizen's mobile phone camera, second by second. In the footage, the suspect, who walked towards the police despite warnings, was shot in the leg by a police officer. Medical teams were then called to the scene.
