Forest fire in Küre Mountains National Park!

A forest fire broke out around 1:30 p.m. in the village of Aşağıçerçi in Bartın's Ulus district, within the borders of Küre Mountains National Park. Following a tip-off from villagers, numerous Regional Directorate of Forestry water trucks and fire trucks were dispatched to the area.

Crews are responding to the fire, and villagers are supporting the extinguishing efforts.

Bartın Governor Nurtaç Arslan told reporters that the fire was being fought from the air and land, saying, "There is no evacuation for now. The fire is advancing upwards, driven by the wind. We are working intensively with both construction equipment and firefighters." Parkk
