The 18th Russian Cup in canoe slalom will begin in Okulovka today

The 18th Russian Canoe Slalom Cup competitions will be held in Okulovka from May 15 to 18, the press service of the Russian Canoe Slalom Federation reported.

For several years now, the canoe slalom season in Russia has opened in Okulovka. This year, athletes from 19 Russian regions came to the competition.

Today, May 15 , the qualification and finals of the first race in canoe singles and kayaks singles will take place. Men and women will compete. Also today, athletes will take part in the opening ceremony of the Russian Cup.

Qualifying and finals of the second race are scheduled for tomorrow, May 16 .

On May 17 , the teams will compete, after which the kayak cross qualification will take place.

The final day of the competition, May 18 , will feature the decisive kayak-cross races. The awards ceremony for the winners will take place on the same day.

There are 65 athletes registered for the start of the canoe singles, 35 in the women's canoe, 87 in the men's kayak singles, and 50 in the women's kayak. 169 crews will compete in the kayak cross qualification.
