Russian Basketball Stars Conduct Master Class for Young Kursk Residents


Russian basketball stars visited Kursk Oblast on a working visit – the sports director of the Russian Basketball Federation, two-time Olympic bronze medalist Natalia Vodopyanova and the bronze medalist of the London Olympics, four-time Russian champion Sergey Monya. This was reported by the regional Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports.
The renowned athletes held a master class for the students of the Dynamo Olympic Reserve Sports School and the Rusichi Basketball Club. They not only shared their personal experience and professional secrets, but also presented the children with 30 new basketballs – a gift from the Russian Basketball Federation.
Also during the visit, a meeting was held with the acting governor of the Kursk region, Alexander Khinshtein. The participants discussed the development of basketball in the region, support from the federation, and the future of Kursk Dynamo, where Natalia Vodopyanova played from 2010 to 2014 and with which she won the European Cup. In particular, the Federation is ready to help in the construction of outdoor basketball courts.
