400 young athletes will come to Noyabrsk for the Russian championship in Thai boxing

The Russian Muay Thai Championship will be held in Yamal, and the competition will be hosted by Noyabrsk, the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug reported.

"About 400 athletes will gather in Noyabrsk - these are girls and boys aged 12-13. The competition will be held from May 20 to 24 at the Zenit sports and recreation complex. Athletes from 40 regions will compete for victory. Yamal will be represented by five athletes from Noyabrsk - students of the Olimpiets sports school, who train under the guidance of coaches and teachers Oleg Zinner and Murad Gadzhiev," the statement says.

Also as part of the competition there will be a Muaythai festival for girls and boys aged 10-11.
