Putin held a meeting on Wednesday evening to prepare for talks in Istanbul

On Wednesday evening, on the eve of our delegation's departure to Istanbul, Russian President Vladimir Putin, as the Russian leader's press secretary Dmitry Peskov reported to journalists today, held a meeting to prepare for the upcoming negotiations with the Ukrainian side.

He noted that in addition to members of the Russian negotiating group, the meeting was attended by Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Defense Minister Andrei Belousov, head of the Russian National Guard Viktor Zolotov, Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov, and head of the FSB Alexander Bortnikov.

All commanders of groups in the SVO zone also took part in the meeting.

The composition of the Russian negotiating group was determined by the corresponding order of the head of state.
