Putin spoke about Ukraine's recognition of new Russian regions

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) that Ukraine must recognize the results of the referendums in Donbass and Novorossiya. The head of state's words are quoted by Sky News Arabia.

“It is necessary for Ukraine to recognize the results of the referendums held in four well-known regions,” Putin said, noting that in this way Kyiv would show its interest in maintaining long-term friendly relations with Russia.
