CNN Travel & Gastronomy visits the Caribbean and South America in new season

In the new season of CNN Travel & Gastronomy , Daniela Filomeno travels to different territories and explores rich cultures and stories — always with the sensitivity of someone who understands that traveling and eating are, ultimately, ways of getting to know others and yourself.

Over the course of 10 new episodes , the program presents iconic and surprising destinations, from the strength of the Caribbean to the delicacy of Italy, from the intensity of Peru to the natural charm of Fernando de Noronha . The premiere is on June 7 (Saturday), at 10 pm.

The season begins in the Caribbean . In Jamaica, rhythm, nature and gastronomy come together in a dive into the soul of the island. In Anguilla and Belize, the sea shapes the lifestyle, taste and hospitality and reveals unforgettable characters, local rituals and experiences that go beyond the obvious.

Next, a gastronomic trilogy in Lima confirms what the world already knows: Peru is one of the world’s great culinary destinations. Between award-winning restaurants, markets, street food and encounters with chefs such as Virgilio Martínez, Pía León and Mitsuharu Tsumura (Micha) , the program shows a capital that is effervescent, creative and deeply connected to its roots.

Then, the season crosses the Atlantic for an immersion in Italy , with episodes that reveal the power of Rome, the flavors and traditions of the country's interior, and the spirituality and natural beauty of Umbria. Between pasta, monuments, wines, medieval villages and Etruscan ruins, each city visited brings a new layer to the narrative — sometimes grand, sometimes intimate, but always breathtaking.

The final destination is Fernando de Noronha, in an episode that celebrates Brazil in its purest form: raw nature, local flavors full of identity, transformative experiences between the sea, the sand and the silence. It is the perfect ending to a season that invites the viewer to explore the world with the attentive eye of someone who knows that the extraordinary, often, is in the details.
