Portimonense secures three Brazilian players in partnership with Camboriú

The president of the Algarve SAD, Rodiney Sampaio, explained yesterday in a press conference that these three players, who were registered on the last day of the transfer market, on September 1st, all signed for one season, with another season as an option.
"This is a partnership between Portimonense SAD and Camboriú, a club in the Brazilian state of Santa Catarina, which has welcomed these new signings. We hope this will be the first of many partnerships that will benefit both parties," said the director.
Wellington Santana, a 28-year-old goalkeeper who is fulfilling "a childhood dream" with his first experience "outside of Brazil", arrives in Portugal with "very high expectations" and promised to contribute to "very high competitiveness" in the fight for a starting spot.
The player also played for Black Pearls, Porto Velho, Fast Club, Manaura EC and XV de Piracicaba, Santo André, GE Brasil and CEOV Operário.
Jotavê, 21, reinforces the midfield of the black and white emblem after, in addition to Camboriú, also having represented Ceará, where he finished his training and made his debut as a senior.
"It's a childhood dream come true, playing in Europe and for a big club in Portugal. The goal is to move up to the I Liga and think about big things," said the midfielder, who also plays as a full-back and considered himself "very sociable," having already noticed "the difference in intensity" in training.
The 26-year-old forward Jardeu will have his second stint in European football, after the Lithuanian side Dziugas Telsiai, in 2023, as well as Flamengo, Santos, Paduano, Frei Paulistano, Itapirense, União Beltrão, Afogados da Ingazeira, Ipiranga and Penedense, in his home country.
"My expectations are the best possible. I want to play a lot and score goals. That's what makes me happy, and I can help the club. I'm a more mobile forward, very aggressive under pressure," the player stated.
Portimonense, who registered six players on the last day of the transfer window, ended the pre-season with a total of 27 reinforcements.
The team led by Tiago Fernandes, seventh in the table with seven points after three rounds, will host Sporting B next Sunday, second with nine.
