Benfica: Dedic injured in international match

Benfica right-back Amar Dedic was injured in Bosnia and Herzegovina's 1-2 defeat to Austria.

The full-back left on his own two feet, but with complaints in his right knee and always accompanied by the national team's medical team.

Bosnian coach Sergej Barbarez admits the defender was worried: "We were worried about Dedic's injury. He's in fantastic form, but in the first half it looked like he was injured. He took a knock to his knee and felt unstable. He thinks it could be something worse. We'll wait for the medical tests when we return to Lisbon."

The player, who provided the assist for Bosnia's goal, is expected in Seixal this Wednesday to be re-evaluated by the Reds.

Dedic was already out of the Eagles' next matches after being sent off in the last league game.
