Maicom David talks about his good form at Yelimai, from Kazakhstan

Brazilian midfielder Maicom David has had a good season playing for Yelimai in Kazakhstan. He has been there since last season and is enjoying a good individual moment for the club.

A defensive midfielder with excellent ball control and firm disarming, Maicom has gained space within the squad and is now one of the pillars of the midfield of the traditional Kazakh team.

- Today I am experiencing one of the most consistent phases of my career, evolving with each game on the field and I have managed to help the club in its pursuit of its objectives - said the player, in conversation with Esporte News Mundo.

In the championship, the Yelimai team did not have a start that excited the fans' eyes, but it has evolved and sought to recover in the search for the top positions.

- We are in a very traditional team in Kazakhstan, a big club with a large fan base, the demand for good results is always high here, we had a difficult start but the team came together and we are improving every day, we have all the conditions to seek better things within the competition - he pointed out.

A trusted man within the squad, Maicom David knows the importance of not wasting any more points at this stage of the championship so that better things can be achieved this season.

- It's a decisive stretch of the season, we're five points behind the first team in the qualifying positions, a difference that's totally possible to overcome, we need to use the strength of our fans to support us and get going in this final stretch - he recalled.

The Yelimai team's next game is against Kyzylzhar, in the quarter-finals of the Kazakhstan Cup, and Maicom guaranteed confidence in qualifying.

- It's a difficult game, like all knockout games, we'll be playing away from home, we need to be alert and determined to get through to the semi-finals and seek the title that this club deserves - he concluded.
