Athletics: District trail circuits for the next season already have calendars
The Coimbra District Athletics Association has already scheduled the next trail running season. The 2025/2026 season kicks off on November 9th in the municipality of Figueira da Foz with the FK Trail race, part of the district's Mini Trail circuit, and concludes on September 27th, 2026, in Ceira, with the Trail Vale do Ceira, part of the Short Trail circuit.
There are 27 events for the next season, with a highlight being the return of Louzan Trail, which has re-entered the competition after having cancelled the event last season.
Unlike the 2024/2025 season, in which it was the Mini Trail circuit that brought together the most events (with 10), next season it will be the Short Trail, with 11, dominating the calendar, with three more than last season.
In both cases, athletes will have to complete six events to “complete” the circuit, that is, more than 50% of the events.
