Another one? CazéTV 'outperforms' ESPN and is close to hiring a sports commentator

Commentator Fernando Campos, better known as Donan, has ended his stint at ESPN after three years with the company. The departure took place on Monday (12) by decision of the communicator himself, who is expected to sign with CazéTV in the coming days. In fact, big names in sports journalism have left renowned broadcasters to embrace the project of the channel that bears the nickname Casimiro Miguel.
Donan, according to column F5, received an invitation to join the CazéTV commentary team especially during the FIFA Club World Cup — between June and July. The platform managed by Livemoode acquired the rights to 39 matches of the competition, including clashes involving the Brazilians. This is a strategy by the channel to strengthen its team and, consequently, attract more fans during the tournament.
"I want new challenges and I believe this project has a lot to offer to digital sports journalism," he told people close to the negotiations. Although the contract with CazéTV is not yet official, sources indicate that the deal is in place.
Trajectory and departure from ESPNFernando Campos participated in programs such as 'SportsCenter' throughout his time at the São Paulo broadcaster, which began in 2022. In addition, he was involved in some of the channel's most relevant broadcasts - such as the Premier League and Copa Sul-Americana, for example. The communicator also has experience at the now defunct 'Esporte Interativo', where he began his career in 2012, and at DAZN.
He joins the likes of former player Djalminha and Gabriel Simões, who recently left ESPN to sign with CazéTV. The expectation is that the final issues will be resolved very soon, and Campos will be announced in the next few days.

Despite already being well-known in the sports world, Casimiro Miguel's channel has been expanding its presence, putting it in the sights of major broadcasters. This is because, in addition to beating ESPN's competition for big names, CazéTV also recently 'took' presenter Bárbara Coelho, one of the leading women in journalism, from Globo. Marcelo Adnet followed suit and signed with the platform.
Adnet will have a weekly program called '30 minutes' - in reference to the duration of the show, without considering the additions, which will be defined throughout the attraction. Also according to the 'F5' column, the comedian's segment will air on Sunday nights right after 'Tempo de Bola', hosted by Bárbara Coelho.
