Following the CBF's announcement, Carlo Ancelotti held a press conference at Real Madrid on Tuesday morning (13). Thus, the Italian coach confirmed the agreement with the Brazilian national team starting on May 26, with a view to the 2026 World Cup.

"From the 26th I will be the coach of Brazil. Today I am the coach of Real Madrid. I want to finish this fantastic adventure here. I want to finish it in the best possible way. I have to think about the time I have left. These are the days I have here at Real. I have respect for the club, the fans, the players. I am focused on what to do in this last match of the adventure," said the coach.

Before that, the professional normally led the training of the merengue team, which enters the field against Mallorca, in the penultimate round of the Spanish Championship. In this sense, the match takes place at 4:30 pm (Brasília time), at the Santiago Bernabéu, this Wednesday (14). The farewell takes place on the 25th, against Real Sociedad, in Madrid.

"Football, like life, is an adventure that begins and ends. I always thought it would end. I was thinking it would be on May 25th. Everything went very well. Like everything in life, it ends. I had a great time here, I want to finish it too. On the 26th I will be taking on another challenge. I have never had a problem with the club and I never will. It is a club that I hold dear to my heart. One day it had to end. It ends after four years in which we won many titles. It was a fantastic time," he concluded.

Merengues did not speak out

So far, Real Madrid have not made any announcements about the coach's departure at the end of the season. According to the coach, the club will soon make an announcement when it deems it appropriate.
