João Miguel Silva is the AD candidate for the Monchique City Council

Manager João Miguel Silva is the AD (PSD/CDS-PP coalition) candidate for the Monchique City Council in the local elections on October 12, with the intention of being a “president close” to the people.
The candidate is running for president of that Chamber for the first time because he “believes that Monchique deserves a president who is close to him, dedicated and capable of serving those who live, work and invest in Monchique.”
"His roots are deeply connected to this land, having grown up in Alferce [one of the three parishes in the municipality] where his maternal family is from, learning in Monchique, with his paternal family, to value the identity and traditions that unite them," reads a presentation note.
This connection “shaped the spirit of public service in him,” adds the candidate’s presentation note, who holds a degree in Law, has training in Human Resources Management and Labor Law, and has experience in the public and private sectors.
The candidate is running for election “determined to put his experience to work for the development of the municipality and the well-being of the population.”
João Miguel Silva has been a member of the Monchique Municipal Assembly since 2017, elected on the PSD lists, a role he held until 2021 alongside that of member of the Alferce Parish Assembly.
