Carlos Moedas calls for speed in the investigation into the Elevador da Glória accident

"The city needs answers. I am the first person interested, on behalf of the people of Lisbon, in ensuring that everything is investigated. I have asked the president of Carris to launch an internal and external investigation to determine all responsibilities as quickly as possible," said the mayor of Lisbon.
The Mayor of Lisbon, Carlos Moedas, called for full support and speed in the investigation into the Elevador da Glória accident, which occurred on Wednesday.
"We need everyone's help. My concern is for the victims and the families who lost their loved ones. The priority is to support the families. The company responsible [Carris] will provide full support to the families. We have declared three days of mourning and ordered the closure of all hospitals," Moedas said.
The mayor also confirmed that “all information is being collected to determine responsibility” for the accident.
