The New York Stock Exchange is trading slightly lower at the start of Tuesday's session, with investors awaiting Nvidia's important results tomorrow.
By index, the Nasdaq falls 0.03% to 21,441.95 points and the S&P500 loses 0.02% to 6,438.18 points.
"Wall Street starts slightly lower, despite the release of strong Durable Goods order data, which showed surprising growth in key equipment and shipments. Investors are in wait-and-see mode, as NVIDIA's long-awaited earnings release arrives tomorrow after the market closes, a barometer for the technology sector that will influence sentiment," reads Millennium Investment Banking's daily market analysis.
"For now, it's worth highlighting EchoStar's surge after receiving a proposal from AT&T for its spectrum licenses. Oklo is excited about an upgrade, and Eli Lilly is excited about positive results with its weight-loss drug. Also noteworthy is a partnership between AMD and IBM in quantum computing," the same note adds.
