Food basket prices fall for the third consecutive week

In this week's analysis of the essential food basket, DECO PROteste concludes that the essential basket of 63 products costs €240.56 this week, €3.74 less than three weeks ago. However, despite the decrease, there are 15 products whose prices have increased by more than 50% since the analysis began in 2022.

Since February 2022, with rising inflation, DECO PROteste has taken the initiative to carry out a weekly price analysis of a basket made up of 63 essential food products, including meat, frozen foods, fruits and vegetables, dairy products, groceries, and fish, including, among others, products such as turkey, chicken, mackerel, hake, onion, potato, carrot, banana, apple, orange, rice, spaghetti, sugar, ham, milk, cheese, and butter, among many others.

For example, it should be noted that compared to last week, the price of liquid yogurt, red potatoes and cooked chickpeas has increased by 10%.
