The timing of Tarcísio's attack on Lula after his visit to Bolsonaro

Common allies between Tarcísio de Freitas and Jair Bolsonaro drew attention to the timing of the governor's criticism of Lula this Wednesday, the 13th, at a BTG Pactual event.
Tarcísio's statements that "Brazil can no longer stand the PT, Brazil can no longer stand Lula," again in a presidential tone, came just five days after he visited Bolsonaro under house arrest in Brasília.
In the opinion of these allies, Bolsonaro and his sons continue to say he is a candidate, but house arrest and imminent conviction are creating a reality that increases pressure to bring forward the choice of his candidate for 2026.
So soon after meeting with Bolsonaro and the embattled former president, these interlocutors note, Tarcísio wouldn't have adopted such a tone without some kind of approval from his former boss. "If the president hasn't appointed Tarcísio yet, at least he hasn't vetoed him from speaking in those terms," summarizes an ally of both.
