Government orders the development of a Special Program for Alto Rabagão
This document aims to ensure the sustainable use of the dam and surrounding area, aligning current and potential activities and functions with safeguards. It supports reservoir management and liaises with various entities, regulating other activities such as tourism and leisure. A development plan for this dam, also known as Pisões, had already been drawn up a few years ago; however, it was never approved or published.
The order to move forward with the process was published in the Official Gazette last week, and it must be completed within 21 months.
