Anyone who loves taking photos while traveling knows how tedious it can be to take them with a group. It's also a challenge when you're alone and want to capture unique, perfectly framed shots. A selfie stick doesn't always solve the problem; the new cameras from Gran Canaria are supposed to be much better.
The idea for this new feature was supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Employment, and the trail's grand opening took place on August 11th. This is the first attraction of its kind in the Canary Islands .
Tourists can take photos hereSelfie poles can be found in the island's most iconic locations. Interestingly, tourists can take a self-portrait and also access important information about the region, both digitally and audiovisually.
It's a good idea to travel the entire trail, taking photos along each section. Each photo can be assigned to specific locations or routes, often using GPS navigation. This allows for precise documentation of the trip. You can also create digital maps with marked photos that can be shared with other users.
Places worth visiting include the museum and factory of Canarian rum (including one with honey), which is famous worldwide, the charming Noble Houses, and the Municipal Market at Constitution Square. The 17th-century Cultural Center and the Library and Central Archives are also impressive.
