The Orlen Final of the Polish Beach Volleyball Championships in Men's and Women's is underway. Where can I watch?

In the women's competition, it's difficult to clearly pick favorites. Several pairs are at the top, any of whom could win. Among the medal contenders are Polish national team members Urszula Łunio and Małgorzata Ciężkowska. These players are not only the leaders in the rankings but also newly crowned bronze medalists at the European Under-22 Championships. Their national teammates, Marta Łodej and Julia Kielak, will also be competing for gold. Among their best results this season are fourth-place finishes in World Tour events in Prague and Krakow, and fifth in Spiez. The tournament's top three are Agnieszka Adamek (Lewski Sofia) and Aleksandra Gromadowska (IPAG Volley Noventa). Last season's Polish runners-up won Orlen Beach Volley Toruń 2025, as well as the Nysa Championships and the Angel Beach Championships. Aleksandra Zdon and Justyna Tomala will defend their Polish champion titles. They have stood on the podium of the Polish Championship Qualifiers several times this season and won the Orlen Beach Tour Łeba 2025 in July.

"This is a very intense time in our careers. We've played five tournaments in the last five weeks and only returned from Baden on Tuesday," says Urszula Łunio, bronze medalist at the European Under-22 Championships. "There's no time to recover, because the Orlen Polish Championship Final starts tomorrow in Poznań. We'd also like to fight for a medal there," adds her partner, Małgorzata Ciężkowska.

Poznań residents Weronika Antczak and Justyna Czupryniak, as well as Monika Gajtkowska and Gabriela Puławska, will certainly feel the strong support of their fans. Both teams had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the courts on Lake Rusałka during the well-attended Chwiałka Volley 2025 tournament. Weronika and Justyna took first place, Monika and Gabriela fourth. Just before the Orlen Polish Championship Final, the teams met on the podium at the Angel Beach in Toruń. Justyna and Weronika took second place, while Monika and Gabriela took third. Both pairs represent the Poznań Beach Volley Group, whose members will undoubtedly be cheering them on loudly. Julia Gierczyńska from Szamotuły and Patrycja Jundziłł from Częstochowa are also counting on support from the stands. The reigning Polish and European Academic Champions are also eager to win medals in Poznań.

"Playing at home is something special," emphasizes Weronika Antczak. "The stands overlooking the Rusałka River are always full of energy and can give you a boost in the most difficult moments of the match. During the Orlen Polish Championship Final, we want to perform at our highest level and fight for the best possible result," she adds.

Will the Olympians win gold in the men's category?

Among the men, Bartosz Łosiak and Michał Bryl are particularly noteworthy – Polish representatives, who are among the world's top. The World Championship bronze medalists are the main contenders for the gold medal in Poznań. Among their highlights this season are second place in Stare Jabłonki, fourth in Brasilla and Ostrava, and fifth in Montreal. Piotr Kantor and Filip Lejawa are runners-up. Members of the national team finished fifth in Kraków, Battipaglia, and Ios.

"The best teams in the country will be competing in Poznań. Although we usually compete internationally, this will be an opportunity for us to face completely different opponents than usual," says Bartosz Łosiak. "It's nice to return to Poznań after so many years. I remember playing at Freedom Beach as a junior. The atmosphere was always fantastic. I hope it will be the same this time at Rusałka," adds Michał Bryl.

Jędrzej Brożyniak and Piotr Janiak are also among the favorites, and they've been in excellent form this season. The valiant Tigers have won tournaments in Sulejów, Staszów, Toruń, Łeba, and Przysucha. Their consistent play and experience make them a prime candidate for victory in Poznań.

"This season has been one of the best for us, if not the best of our entire careers. We won the silver medal at the Beach Pro Tour in Kraków, which was our eighth medal in international competition. We won all four Orlen Beach Volley Tour tournaments, making history, and to top it all off, we finished with our fifth gold medal in the Polish Cup. Regardless of how this season ends, we can already say it was exceptional," says Jędrzej Brożyniak. "Of course, we dream of another Polish Championship medal, but we know how strong the lineup is and how high the level of all the pairs is. That's why we focus on each new opponent and believe that the work we've put in throughout the year will allow us to fight for more medals," adds Piotr Janiak.

Other podium contenders include Piotr Kantor and Filip Lejawa, Piotr Groszek and Igor Ciemachowski, Tomasz Maziarek and Piotr Filipowicz, and Mateusz Podborączyński and Adam Lorenc. Local fans will be cheering on Tomasz Jaroszczak, who will be paired with Mateusz Florczyk, and Mikołaj Kaczmarek, who will be paired with Michał Witkoś.
