The Volleyball World Championships from the Inside. Polsat Sport experts surprised

The Women's Volleyball World Championship is underway in Thailand. Thirty-two teams are competing, divided into eight groups. Among them is the Polish team, led by Stefano Lavarini, who are placed in Group G. Our volleyball players will play their first match of the tournament on Saturday, facing a team from Vietnam.

And wherever Polish athletes are, our journalists and commentators are there. Even in remote and exotic Thailand. This country boasts an exceptionally rich culture and, consequently, a wide range of culinary offerings, as our trusty duo: Joanna Kaczor-Bednarska and Marek Magiera, decided to explore.
The selection at the local stalls is enormous. There are plenty of vegetables, fruit, and fish, but also plenty of... grubs and insects.
- I'm wondering what to try out of all the fantastic things we have here - said Magiera in a special video published on our social media.
At one of the stands, customers had a selection of worms, which are consumed daily in those regions, something that might not be so obvious to us. As it turns out, these local delicacies taste quite familiar.
"They taste like cracklings, elegant cracklings," said the commentator.
Joanna Kaczor-Bednarska also couldn't resist tasting Thai delicacies.
"A worm, just a worm. I ate it," admitted the Polish volleyball player, bronze medalist at the European Championships, without emotion.
