Break! We know where and when Iga Świątek will play after Wimbledon
The Wimbledon final belonged to Iga Świątek. Our compatriot put in a fantastic performance, securing her sixth Grand Slam title. Amanda Anisimova was utterly unstoppable against the Polish player, who won in style, 6-0, 6-0.
What now? Świątek will have some time for herself, which she can probably dedicate first to a short rest after the intense tournament in London, and then to training. This is because the best Polish player will return to action in early August.
The WTA 1000 Cincinnati tournament begins on August 7th, and we'll see our compatriot back in action. This prestigious tournament will also feature many other top players, including Mirra Andreyeva, Coco Gauff, Madison Keys, Jessica Pegula, Jasmine Paolini, Jelena Ostapenko, and Aryna Sabalenka. The field is very strong.
There will definitely be something to fight for. The Cincinnati event will run until August 18th. It's also significant that for Świątek, this will be the inauguration of her fourth and final tournament series this season.
