He did it again! Still can't get enough

In Koszalin, on ul. Rekreacyjna, right next to the Koszalin Water Park, the 2nd Polish Masters Championships in the Anglo-Saxon mountain run took place, which was also the 16th Koszalin Mountain Run. The indestructible 82-year-old Kazimierz Kuropatwa from Przemyśl stood at the start of the event. Of course, he did not return home empty-handed. He became the bronze medalist in the category above M-80! Congratulations!
Mr. Kazimierz still can't get enough. It's hard to list how many trophies he has won in over half a century and in which disciplines. Because there's no need to convince anyone that he's versatile. He's indestructible. Like wine: the older the better. K. Kuropatwa in Koszalin was not only the only representative from the San, but also the only representative of the Podkarpacie region in these unusual competitions.
For the uninitiated, we explain that these competitions were only for… heroes. In mountain running, we distinguish, among others, the Alpine style and the Anglo-Saxon style. These are usually races from 8 to 15 km. Alpine style races are only uphill competitions, in the Anglo-Saxon style – up and down. In Poland, short-distance championships are held on courses of less than 6 km.
The event, organized by the Koszalin Society for the Promotion of Physical Culture and the Polish Masters Athletics Association, was held over two distances – 10 km for age categories up to 55 years and 5 km for age categories over 60 years. For both women and men. Previously, the event was held in the Bieszczady Mountains, and running up Laworta was a total blast for competitors. Then the championships were moved to Koszalin.
Mr. Kazimierz is 82 years old, he represents Przemyśl Running Club. He started in the category above M-80, i.e. for 80-year-olds and older. He started and finished in 3rd place, which was equivalent to winning a bronze medal at the Polish Championships. Last year he won silver, but then he ran the course four minutes slower...
– It was a very difficult race. A five-kilometer lap. The route was extremely demanding, because the terrain was forest, there were a lot of uphill and downhill sections over roots and rocks. But I managed. I'm already getting ready for the next competition.
