Emotions surrounding migrants are getting stronger. Special meeting of the Szczecin commission

Monday's meeting of the Public Security Committee of the Szczecin City Council, devoted to migrants who are being returned to Poland by Germany, took a surprising turn. The chairman of the body canceled the meeting immediately after it began. This outraged the numerous residents of Szczecin who were gathered. Then, the initiative was taken by politicians from Law and Justice.

No representatives of the services showed up

A special meeting of the commission was called by Mateusz Gieryga from KO. He said that it was necessary for the residents of Szczecin to receive credible information about migrants. Especially since the topic arouses a lot of emotions. They know what is really happening at the border - where migrants who try to get to the West through Poland are being pushed back by German services - representatives of the police and Border Guard were to share. However, as Mateusz Gieryga reported right after the meeting began, the commanders canceled their participation.

- Shame! Shame! Shame! - the residents reacted.

- I'm also disappointed - said the chairman of the committee. - I had my questions.

The KO councilors left. But the residents stayed. Then PiS politicians took control of the chamber.

- It is a scandal that there is no Border Guard today. This should not have happened. The Border Guard is capitulating - said MP Dariusz Matecki (PiS). - We are for the Polish uniform, for Polish soldiers, for Polish policemen, for Polish border guards, but not for them realizing the political will to transfer illegal migrants, who are provided by the Germans, without any verification.

"We ourselves are letting in young men who may pose a threat"

- This is a question for the government - of the city, province, country: do we want to have a situation where we will not be able to go outside in the evening, do we want to have a situation where Polish women will be raped, do we want to have a situation where we will be afraid to send our children to school because someone might hurt them? - thundered PiS MP Zbigniew Bogucki. - This is not scaremongering. This is a fact. The Germans brewed this beer themselves.

According to the MP, the policy of "Herzlich Wilkommen" of former German Chancellor Angela Merkel has failed. The Chancellor had hoped that the mass acceptance of migrants would strengthen the German economy. But they, as Zbigniew Bogucki stated, preferred German social benefits. And now, according to the MP, Poland must pay for the failed migration policy of its western neighbor.

- I would like to know how Polish services verify people who do not have documents, do not speak English? - Beata Sarna from Pogodna shared her doubts. - I would like to ask those who claim that migrants come to us to work and assimilate, what language will they use at work?

Jacek Kowalewski from the National Movement, who introduced himself as a war veteran, warned that we were letting in young men who could be a threat - including a terrorist threat. According to him, there is a danger that if Muslims take over a part of a Polish city, Sharia law will prevail there.

Rafał Kubowicz from the Confederation said:

- The Platform says that we have to accept them because they have some papers. Not true. They don't have any credible documents. They only have pieces of paper.
