Another big money for the hospital voted

The Ministry of Health encouraged managers of hospitals and medical facilities to seek financial support that would allow them to develop digital services. The Medical Care Center in Jarosław decided to apply for such funds from the National Plan for Reconstruction and Increasing Resilience. In connection with the call for applications for the digital transformation of healthcare announced by the Ministry of Health, councilors decided to secure funds in the district budget for their own contribution to the project entitled "Implementation of e-services in the Medical Care Center in Jarosław". Fulfilling this condition was necessary to be able to submit an application for funding. The councilors considered the adoption of a resolution in this regard to be justified.
[middle1]- There is a chance to use external funds for cybersecurity. We are currently observing various types of cyberattacks on hospitals throughout Poland, which is why we discussed this application together with the hospital director. We can apply for PLN 9 million to implement solutions in the hospital that guarantee cybersecurity and protect sensitive patient data. The own contribution is 20 percent, or PLN 1.8 million, which in total amounts to PLN 10.8 million. There was a heated discussion on this matter at the Family, Health and Social Welfare Committee, which issued a positive opinion. Of course, no one gives us a guarantee that we will receive this money, but we have a good chance, because the Jarosław COM is a hospital with high scores in this program. If we do not complete this task now, we will still have to implement this program in the future - argued the assumptions of the draft resolution, starosta Kamil Dziukiewicz.
– This is a lot of money for the district, because this year we have to secure PLN 300,000 in the budget for this purpose, and PLN 1,500,000 next year. However, I ask for your support and I keep my fingers crossed for a positive decision regarding the application for co-financing – he added.
