Sustainable nursery: Hof te Dieren

Nicole Peters's nursery at Neijenhof is located in a beautiful walled garden, the former vegetable garden of the Hof estate in Dieren. The nursery's expertise lies in cultivating strong, profusely flowering perennials. Nicole also enjoys offering sound advice: "I want my plants to thrive and for people to be truly happy when they enter the garden." You'll also find the nursery at this year 's Craft Plant Market .

Hof te Dieren 's selection is extensive and consists primarily of perennials. Nicole ensures you get the right plant for the right location, so you'll have a plant that thrives in that spot.
On September 27th and 28th, Hof te Dieren will be at the Ambachtelijke Plantenmarkt (Artisanal Plant Market), the most sustainable plant event of the year. Will you be there at De Wiersse Estate in Vorden? Read more about this nursery's sustainable offerings at the plant market below.

All pruning waste is reused at our nursery (for example, in the branch pile, compost, etc.). The greenhouses are not heated, and we don't use grow lights. The sun is our energy source. There's no gas connection and no electric lights. When it gets dark, we go home!
We haven't applied for an organic certificate. For growing plants, we use Osmocote fertilizer (which doesn't leach) in the potting soil. This provides a release for 4 to 6 months and ensures good root formation and growth.
We have copied this information as carefully as possible and edited it for readability, based on the contract signed and explained by the growers at the Craft Plant Market .
