Vitesse supporters warn of consequences if club disappears

The supporters argue that Vitesse is more than just a football club. They point to community projects, the youth academy, the business club's network, and the future of its staff and volunteers. "As supporters, we are receiving the most severe punishment possible. The death blow to our club. That is unacceptable," they write.
Despite the loss of its professional license, the supporters' association remains committed to action. The football club will take legal action on Thursday. "The license is gone, but Vitesse will continue to exist as long as we show it," the supporters' association stated.
The supporters' association board is urging Vitesse fans to keep talking about the club, flying the flag, and wearing the shirt. "Things are looking bleak. But our duty as supporters doesn't stop. It begins right now. With yellow-black fighting spirit. Vitesse must continue to exist. Not just as a name. But as a club with its own identity."
